It also explains its texture, which is denser and stickier than that of a traditional flower. Moonrock should not be confused with Ice Rock, which is coated with CBD isolate crystals.

Moonrock originated in California in the 2010s. Rapper Kurupt, a member of the group Tha Dogg Pound, and producer Dr. Zodiak launched “Kurupt’s Moonrocks” in Los Angeles: Girl Scout Cookies buds coated in hash oil and then kief. The name comes from the appearance of the finished product, whose grainy, powdery surface resembles a moon rock.

The American version was designed to have a very high THC content. With the rise of legal hemp in Europe in the late 2010s, producers adopted the same process, replacing hash oil with CBD concentrates and traditional kief with hemp pollen. The result is still a concentrated product, but one that falls below the legal threshold of 0.3% THC. Our Moonrock CBD is produced in France using this method.

Moonrock CBD comes in compact, rounded buds, completely covered with a thin layer of golden-brown pollen. The original flower remains visible in places beneath the coating. The moisture content of the batch is neutral, and the buds contain no seeds.
